The Built Quilt brand started as a solo art show, "Built Quilt: Wood Quilts & Engravings" by artist Troy Murrah in honor of his late mother, Judy Murrah (former VP of Education at Quilts, Inc.). T. Murrah used thousands of wood fragments, cut from salvaged remnants, to construct elaborate wall hangings that replicated traditional quilt patterns and featured engravings of ornamental designs—designed by the artist using imagery influenced by his past. Since then, this body of art has branched off into a line of wall prints, home accents, and gifts. Inspired by time-honored quilt block patterns that have been used in quilts for centuries, our pieces offer a fresh take on these beloved patterns, taking them beyond the cloth. This gift set consists of 3 beautiful, quilt-inspired, enamel pins replicating the colors and designs of wood quilt artworks by artist Troy Murrah. The quilt blocks featured are a 1.5 inch Diamond Log Cabin (replica of the 7 footer "The Stingarees"), 1 inch Lattice Square (replica of the first in the "Lattice Square" series), and a 1 inch Pineapple (replica of "Turn It Up"). *Also available as individual pins.
The geometric designs are lightweight with just the right amount of shine. Contemporary, modern renditions of timeless, classic patterns. Nickel plated, brass, soft enamel pins features metal pin back closures. These pins make great stocking stuffers, gifts, or tokens of appreciation for quilters, crafters, and design & pattern lovers.
