Good Answer, Good Answer, 2022
96” x 60” | Features a Variation of Flying Geese Pattern | Family Feud Fun: Growing up, my brother told me the contestants could hear you if you yelled the answers loud enough into the TV speaker. It worked a couple of times. Steve Harvey was not the host at the time, but I wish he was. His "wood-quilted" suit is adorned with a variation of a flying geese pattern. The carpet is laser-engraved with a 1970s wallpaper design. *This piece is first in the “Party People” series.

See Ya On the Flipside, 2021
36” x 48” | Features a quilted sky and sea | The beauty of boat building: true woodworking, carpentry, and craftsmanship. No powertools. Also, another suggested thought on modes of transportation. I like to travel and try my hardest not to take conveniences for granted.

Grass Ain’t Always Greener, 2021
36” x 48” | Features a Variable Star Pattern | Inspired by the beauty and serenity of a mountain cabin, the comfort of a campfire and the glow of a star lit sky. The women warriors, land or sea, are there as a reminder to protect our great outdoors. Respect wherever you may be these days, nurture your nature, and don’t take for granted those lucky, quiet moments you might get out on the canoe.

Cheetah Express, 2021
53.25” x 53.25” | Features a Variation of a Lone Star Pattern | Inspired by the old myth that the postal service first tried strapping mail bags to cheetahs in the Wild West before having to settle on the less glamorous Pony Express method. Risking your own health to get a stranger’s post to its destination. Seems even crazier now, during our times of instant communication... but we still manage to have moments of miscommunication. Also inspired by my old memories of family road trips as a child staring out the window and being intrigued by all the different sizes and styles of water towers that were laid out across the Texas landscape that aren’t here in Southern California. Kids should never lose the valuable ability to entertain themselves by just looking out the windows on a drive. Features the Lone Star quilt block pattern.

“Material Nudes” Photo Series:
This photo series of the artist’s materials celebrates reclaimed materials. Minimal and abstract, the compositions happened by chance while the artist was laying out pieces before constructing them together to create a large scale artwork. In an effort to “mentally balance” the intricate patterns of his usual wall hangings and furniture pieces, it became the subject of a new photo series. The found materials play such an important role in the resulting art, it’s only natural to want to honor them as well.
